In 1967, after Westmount Square in Montreal and the Toronto-Dominion Centre in Toronto, after the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin, the Seagram Building in New York, and the Lake Shore Drive apartments in Chicago, the last director of the famous Bauhaus school, Mies van der Rohe, designed a gas station on Île-des-Sœurs.
So what? say the employees, customers, and neighbors. After all, isn't it just a gas station?
