Ayiti Toma - In the land of the living

Documentary | 2013 | 84 minutes
Languages: French and Creole
Subtitles: French, English, Spanish

Beyond Haiti, the first republic to emerge from slavery.

Beyond Haiti, which has survived and continues to survive imperialism, natural disasters, and even humanitarian aid. Beyond this Haiti lies Ayiti Toma: “the country that is ours.” An Ayiti described and commented on by voodoo practitioners, survivors of a dangerous neighborhood in Port-au-Prince, intellectuals, and humanitarians. Each in their own way wants this unique culture to be the foundation of its future so that Ayiti Toma can finally be built.
